This is the project I am currently working on. It is a wool/rayon felt base onto which I have machine needle felted various rovings (different types of wool, wool/silk, silk, tencil) leaving areas open onto wich were appliqued pieces of velvet, silk taffeta, and silk dupioni. Yarns (wool/silk and wool) are couched around and on the leaf and I am now in the process of adding yarns around the appliques and amongst the felted rovings. (After the appliques were done I decided I didnt like the look of the satin stitching.) The leaf has been thread painted and the entire piece machine quilted with decorative threads.

Wow, this is a real beauty! I do own an embellisher and just started to learn what can be done with it. This piece really makes me want to play with it right away.

This is an incredible piece of work. I love the colors. I just got an Xpressions and this gives a whole new meaning to what can be done with it......I do hope you will write some instructions or something soon.
